One last gift idea! This one is also based on a gift that I received (thank you to my friends and family for your brilliant creativity). Several years back, my sister gifted me with one of my favorite presents of all time - a mini record collection! She had scoured the local flea markets, record stores, and random street sellers to put together a set of 20 records for me. This was no small feat, and made for an impressive gift! It is a great present for someone in your life with a record player that is getting dusty, or a serious music geek in need of some new finds. Of course, it requires a little legwork to seek out the best records, but it is a fun task, and one that will be thoroughly appreciated. You don't have to do 20 records like my sister - the photo features 10, and as you can see, it makes for an impressive stack! If you find most of them used, you can do this for a reasonable price. I featured one of my favorite records from my original gift on top, from the late, great David Bowie, as a nod to the tumultuous year that was 2016.
More 2016 recapping to come soon. In the meantime, enjoy the holidays, and listen to another gem, "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy", the weirdly wonderful David Bowie and Bing Crosby duet that is a classic chez nous. Happy holidays to you and yours!
